Clear Chicken Soup

This soup is hearty, super healthy and perfect for this warm weather. It is low on calorie, lighter on tummy so not to mention this homemade chicken soup for this cold and flu season will get your kids feeling better in no time. If you’re wondering how to make chicken soup, you’ll find that it is much easier than you think.  

Here we go:

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Total time: 30 minutes

100 g Chicken breast
1/4 cup Onion chopped
3-4 cloves Garlic Smashed
1/4 cup Carrot Chopped
2 Bay leaf
1/4 cup celery chopped
4 cups water salt to taste
1/4 tsp Freshly Cracked black pepper

Wash the chicken and cut it in small cubes and put it in utensil along with onion, garlic, carrot, celery, bay leaf, and water. Add salt and freshly cracked black pepper and let it boil for 10 minutes covered.Simmer the heat and cook for 10-12 minutes on low heat. Strain the soup using a soup strainer. Take out the chicken pieces and shred them into small pieces Add a few shredded pieces in each serving bowl and pour the clear soup on top. Garnish with spring onion greens, if needed. Serve hot.
